Bahamas Next Stop on WPS Poker Tour

The Bahamas event which will run May 6- 16 promises to be one of the highest-attended WPS events to date. A special arrangement has been negotiated with the Wyndham Nassau Resort to give WPS players special room rates as low as $90 per night during the event. This is an early bird special and the low rates are only available for a limited number of rooms booked during March.
The concept of the WPS is to provide fun, affordable women poker tournaments in exciting destinations with more starting chips and longer levels to the recreational and serious poker players. The WPS organizes four poker tournament events per year in exciting destinations such as Costa Rica, St. Maarten, the Bahamas, and Caribbean poker cruises. WPS events are professionally directed by renowned tournament director Warren Karp and the WPS staff of professional circuit dealers. Each event is from 7- 10 days, always culminating in a $2,500 multi-day main event.
WPS events in the past have been co-hosted by WSOP champions Greg Raymer and Chris Moneymaker. Just prior to the Bahamas event, the WPS crew will be hosting a Caribbean poker cruise April 22-29. In October, the WPS will find itself in tropical Costa Rica, hosting a 9-day tournament in Jaco Beach.
Full information on the Bahamas event, the poker cruise, and the Costa Rica event can be found on the official WPS website, www.worldpokershowdown.com.
